Do I have to join the BU Alumni Association?

You are welcomed as a member of the BU Alumni Association upon graduation. There are no member dues to participate. Currently, there are more than 70,900 living graduates of Bloomsburg and members of the BU Alumni Association.


What is The Husky Pack?

The Husky Pack is the name of the Alumni Association’s web and online community at www.bloomualumni.com. It is an interactive site that provides information on alumni happenings, but also offers you the convenience of signing up and paying for events, searching the alumni directory, posting class notes or updating your contact information online.


Why should I activate my profile on The Husky Pack?

Your Husky Pack profile is the information about you that appears in the searchable alumni directory, which is accessible exclusively to BU alumni. Activating your profile and keeping your contact information up to date lets you search for your BU friends and allows them to find you. Alumni can email each other through the system, even without knowing an email address. We recommend that you review your profile to control what information you would like to share and keep your email current to receive alumni e-communications.


What is a constituent ID#?

If you are new to The Husky Pack, you will need your constituent ID# or alumni ID# to activate your member profile and set a user name and password. (Your constituent ID# is the same as your BU student ID#) If you need assistance,  email the alumni office at alum@bloomu.edu or call the office at 800-526-0254 to get your number.


Why do I have to login?

You do NOT have to login at www.bloomualumni.com to view most of the information on The Husky Pack. However, you are required to login to:

·         search the alumni directory

·         create a business card in the new Husky Professionals directory

·         conduct other online business, such as posting a class note.

How do I update my contact information?

The Alumni office relies on you to notify us if your name, mailing address or email changes. You may update your contact information online. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to do so. You may also send new contact information to us by email at alum@bloomu.edu or call the Alumni office at 800-526-0254.


How can I find or contact my alumni friends?

You may login to The Husky Pack at www.bloomualumni.com and search the alumni directory online or you may contact the Alumni office for assistance by calling 800-526-0254. The Alumni office will not disclose personal information about other alumni to you; however, staff will assist you in attempting to make contact with your BU friends.


Why is my name not listed in the Alumni Directory?

There could be a number of reasons why your name is not appearing in the alumni directory. If you find that your name is not listed, please call the Alumni office at 800-526-0254. Alumni staff will assist you in having this problem corrected.


How can I be a lost alum?

If there is an old address or bad email address on your alumni record, you could be listed as a “lost” alum. You may send updated contact information by email to alum@bloomu.edu or call the Alumni office at 800-526-0254 for assistance.


Where do I send a class note for the BU magazine?

If you have received a career promotion or added a new baby to your family, you can share this and other news with your alumni friends through a Husky Note (class note) that will appear in BU: The University Magazine, which is published three times a year in September, February and June. You may login and post a class note through The Husky Pack. You may also email the information to alum@bloomu.edu. High resolution digital photos (jpegs) may be submitted along with your note.


I am not receiving my free copy of BU: The University Magazine. Why?

BU: The University Magazine is published three times a year and distributed free to alumni and friends of the university. If you are not receiving your copy, we most likely have an undeliverable mailing address for you. You may update your contact information by logging into The Husky Pack. You may also email new contact information to alum@bloomu.edu


What career services are available to alumni?

Alumni Engagement works closely with university to give alumni access to job postings and other career services. The Alumni Association also consists of a number of regional networks, which hold social and professional events and activities that you can attend near where you live. Alumni may also benefit by joining the Bloomsburg University alumni group on Linked In.


Where can I obtain a copy of my transcript?

Please follow these instructions as provided by the Office of the Registrar.

Where can I obtain a duplicate of my diploma?

Complete this form
and submit with your payment to the Registrar's Office.


How can I obtain a past copy of a yearbook?

Alumni Affairs maintains an inventory that includes most - but not all – copies of past Obiters. To request a copy, please call the office at 800-526-0254 to verify that the yearbook you are seeking is available. If so, you will be asked to cover the cost of the mailing (approximately $5) and the yearbook will be sent to you at no additional charge. Keep in mind that you may now also view yearbooks (1915-2010) thru the Harvey A. Andruss Library’s Bloomsburg University Archives.


How can I replace a lost class ring?

Can alumni use the student rec center?
Alumni can can purchase an individual membership to use the rec center. See Details


Can alumni use the university pool?

Alumni are welcome to use the university pool (no charge) during open swim hours. Open swim hours are posted here. 


How do I purchase tickets to BU sporting events?

Information about BU sporting events, including schedules and ticket pricing, can be found at www.buhuskies.com Football tickets are sold on game day only. Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff and all tickets are general admission.


If I am visiting campus, will I need a parking pass?
Yes, you will need a visitor's parking pass to park on campus. You may obtain a parking pass by stopping at the Fenstemaker Alumni House.


Are there any discount programs for alumni?

There are a variety of alumni benefit programs that provide discounts on auto, health insurance, travel. See more on benefits 


Are there scholarships for the children of alumni? 
Yes, Alumni whose children are currently attending BU may enter a drawing for an Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship. Details.
